For example, in a restaurant which offers ‘Soup of the Day’ it is not uncommon to ask what kind it is to have the waiter respond with the reply that “I will have to go and find out!” As it happens every day surely it should not come as a surprise to the waiter, or not be forecast as an anticipated request by the management.

Open to all UAE public sector customer facing employees, this award will be presented to an individual with outstanding customer service skills and knowledge who consistently exceeds customer expectations by going above and beyond the call of duty to ensure each and every customer they come in contact with receives a positive experience. The successful candidate may work in (but not limited to) a call centre, front desk, outdoors (e.g. emergency response) or behind the scenes – as long as this individual's primary responsibility is to interact with citizens and provide these individuals with superior citizen service on a day-to-day basis.
